The Wait Is Over: Grand Opening of the Sterling Community Gathering Place
Phase 1 is complete. After a year of watching the fields, courts, and pavilion take shape, the Sterling Community Gathering Place is finished
and ready for its first big night.
Save the date. On Friday, September 18, we open the gates with a free outdoor concert under the pavilion. Come celebrate the grand
opening of the Sterling Gathering Place with live music from WireWood Station. Grab your friends, bring the family, and be there
for the very first night in the Community's new front yard.

The concert is free and open to the Community. Bring a blanket or a couple of lawn chairs, find a spot at the pavilion and settle in.

Food Trucks and Free Kona Ice
Come hungry. Four food trucks will be on site for the evening, so dinner is handled and nobody has to cook on a Friday night. The food
trucks are pay as you go, so bring a card or a little cash. You're also welcome to bring your own picnic supper.
Kona Ice is free, courtesy of Sterling Ridge and our community home builders: Classic Homes, Vantage Homes and American Legend Homes. Consider it our treat for opening night.
Getting There
The Sterling Gathering Place sits at the corner of Laguna Niguel Way, just off Sterling Ranch Road, with easy access from Briargate Parkway and Dines.
What You Will Find When You Arrive
Opening night is your first look at the completed Phase 1 of the Sterling Community Gathering Place:
- A generous playground designed for a wide range of ages and abilities
- A multi-purpose sports field for soccer, lacrosse, practices, and pickup games
- Pickleball courts for the fastest-growing sport in the neighborhood
- Park play areas
- A lawn and pavilion built for concerts and music in the park, and hosting its very first performance that night. The grass is still growing and you'll see some restricted areas to give the lawn the chance to grow.
- Come early, walk the space, let the kids loose on the playground, give your pup room to roam in the enclosed dog park grab something from a food truck, and then find your spot before the music starts at five.
The Heart of the Community
The Sterling Community Gathering Place was designed from the start to serve as the heart of the Community, benefiting residents of both Sterling Ridge and Sterling Ranch. It is where neighbors will meet for a pickup game, where kids will burn off energy on a summer evening, and where a Friday night concert on the lawn can become a standing tradition.
September 18 is where that tradition starts.
What Comes Next
Phase 1 is complete, but it is only the beginning. Future phases of the Sterling Community Gathering Place are in the planning phase.
